We hope you can join us for our second Ohio Zebrafish Undergraduate Research Conference (OHZU). All undergrad students working with zebrafish or related model fish species are invited to submit abstracts for platform and poster presentations. We encourage mentors from any level (graduate, postdoctoral, and faculty) that are interested in undergraduate research to attend.Our keynote talk will be by Dr. Cody Smith of Notre Dame University on the development of the nervous system. There will be a workshop for undergraduate students on applying to graduate programs hosted by Dr. Sharon Amacher of The Ohio State University. Bill Kilgore from Aquaneering will facilitate a workshop and roundtable discussion on zebrafish facilities and husbandry. This workshop will be geared toward faculty and postdocs who lead (or will lead) zebrafish laboratories and/or planning construction or renovation of a zebrafish facility.Several gradaute programs will also be in attendance to provide information on their programs. This is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to explore options after their bachelor's degree and for grad students, post-docs and faculty to network with others from Ohio and neighboring states.We are thankful for the financial support of our sponsors: Charles River, Danio Lab and Aquaneering.
