T﻿HIS TRIP HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2023 d﻿ue to potentially hazardous road and trail conditions after the recent torrential rains. ﻿We hope to go birding at Sunol next year.Expect to see a good variety of different birds. In years past Bald Eagles, Osprey, Herons, King fishers, various ducks. Owls, Hawks, Grackle and many smaller birds have all been seen here.NOTE: The park has been impacted by recent heavy rains. Registration for this trip will not open until two weeks before, when we may have a better idea of conditions. Take the Calavaras off ramp which is about two miles past Bernal. At the bottom of the Calavaras off ramp make a left. Take Calaveras, about four miles to Geary which will be on your left. Make a left on Geary. Geary dead ends into the park. Meet by the visitor center which will be on your left.
