5/18/2024 Hiking MN Together/ We Hike to Heal

Welcome to Hiking MN Together I am your hiking guide. My name is Dada and nature has been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I am a domestic violence survivor who also has had a fair share of mental and verbal abuse over 30 years. As a Mental Health Advocate, I wanted to create a group to be an outlet for women (18+), especially for those who feel alone. After realizing most hiking groups focus on Twin Cities or surrounding areas I wanted to create a group that held hikes all over MN. Whether we stop to enjoy a picnic take photos of nature soak in the surroundings or you just want someone to hike with this is the group for you. My first official hike for this group is dedicated to Mental Health Awareness Month and I also themed up with We Hike to Heal for my first group hike.

Join me for a day of hiking at Jay Cooke State Park! Lace-up your boots and hit the trails with fellow nature enthusiasts. Let's come together to explore the beauty of Minnesota's outdoors and find solace in the healing power of nature. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just starting, this event is for everyone looking to connect with nature and each other. Don't miss out on this opportunity to hike, heal, and make new friends along the way!

We be meeting by The River Inn Interpretive Center and we will be hiking Silver Creek Trail which is part of the MN Hiking Club Trail. The hike is estimated to be around 3.4 miles. (If you are part of the MN Passport and Password Club you can get your password and stamp on this hike or a great hike to join the hiking club so you can explore all 75 Minnesota State Park and Recreation Areas.)
