Zoom link is below. Join us for a comprehensive panel on handling Hurricane Ida claims in federal court. Panelists include: The Honorable Michael B. North, Chief Magistrate Judge; the Honorable Franz Zibilich (ret.); Rico Alvendia, David Strauss, and Francis “Jay” Lobrano. Together, these panelists represent leading voices from different roles in Hurricane Idea litigation, including from a judicial perspective; a policyholder advocate perspective; an insurance advocate perspective; a mediator’s perspective; and a program administrator perspective, respectively. These panelists will speak about the practical realities of moving the high-volume Hurricane Ida docket. Topics include ways that practitioners can streamline case management of these large dockets in a way that will help the judiciary keep cases moving, best practices in storm litigation, the nuances of the Case Management Order (“CMO”) governing most Hurricane Ida cases currently pending, and more.
