8pm doors 9pm music $12 advanced tickets $15 day of/at the door Julie RhodesRhode Island's Julie Rhodes possesses the kind of voice that transcends time and place, reminiscent of smooth ’60s soul crooners with a dash of the ragged howl heard in Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard. So it’s fitting that the former ice-cream parlor scooper recorded her debut album at Muscle Shoals’ FAME Studios, where the likes of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding once sang. That fiery 2016 debut, Bound to Meet the Devil, was a hell of an entrance to the music world, earning the singer/ songwriter four Boston Music Award noms and one win for Best New Artist this winter—after just one year as a working musician. This April, Rhodes released a recording of James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind,” a bluesy gut-kicker of a cover that has us looking out for a forthcoming sophomore record. - Improper BostonianNoble Dust“There is beauty in the power of all aspects of the band’s music, but it’s balanced by just how damn fun it is...” - Red Line RootsNoble Dust creates dynamic, lyrically-driven progressive folk pop, blending ethereal vocal harmonies with intricate horn and string melodies. The group received a grant from Club Passim's Iguana Music Fund to complete their first full length album, And The Tide Rises released in April of 2018. They have since shared stages big and small (a sold-out Club Passim, City Winery Boston MainStage, The Grey Eagle) with Christopher Paul Stelling, Adam Ezra Group, and Session Americana. They are recording their second LP A Picture for a Frame at Dimension Sound Studios. Louisa StancioffLouisa Stancioff’s songs are of the folk genre. You can listen to her previous band, Dyado, anywhere. Louisa is originally from Chesterville, ME. Her debut solo album is expected on Yep Roc Records this summer.
