Founded in 1967, the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s mission is to protect and care for Southwest Florida's coastal ecosystems through its focus on Water Quality Research, Policy and Advocacy, Sea Turtles and Shorebirds, Native Landscaping, Habitat and Wildlife Management, and Environmental Education. SCCF is the largest private landowner on Sanibel Island. It manages 1,300 acres of land on Sanibel and Captiva and owns hundreds of additional acres in the Southwest Florida region. SCCF is proud to manage numerous public and non-public trails and preserves, a Native Landscape & Garden Center, Marine Laboratory, Sanibel Sea School, Coastal Watch volunteer program, and more.

The talk will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort &amp; Spa in the Everglades Ballroom. Doors open at 5 p.m.For nearly three decades, Corwin has been sharing stories of wildlife and nature with a global audience through his many celebrated television series on ABC, NBC, Travel Channel, Food Network, Disney Channel, and Discovery Networks. Currently, Corwin is the creator, executive producer, and host of ABC’s groundbreaking television series “Wildlife Nation,” which explores the remarkable story of North American conservation, highlighting heroes working to save endangered species and wilderness.Corwin is also the creator and co-presenter of CNN&#x27;s groundbreaking documentary &quot;Planet in Peril,&quot; hosted alongside Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta. He is executive producer and host of ABC&#x27;s &quot;Ocean Treks,&quot; five seasons of powerful and compelling stories exploring journeys of culture, adventure, and nature around the globe. Corwin is also an executive producer and presenter for the giant screen film &quot;Expedition Chesapeake&quot; and the narrator for David Attenborough’s powerful, cinematic documentary &quot;Galapagos, Natures Wonderland.&quot; During the Gulf oil spill, Corwin served as an environmental correspondent for both CBS and NBC News. In April 2020, he created and executively produced the critically acclaimed TV series &quot;Alaska Animal Rescue&quot; for Nat Geo Wild, now on Disney Plus.Beyond television, Corwin’s acclaimed NBC documentary and book, 100 Heartbeats, engaged both the readers and broadcast audience in the 21st Century plight of endangered species. Jeff is also the author of 10 books on wildlife and nature, including Living on the Edge, Amazing Relationships in the Nature World. Corwin&#x27;s education includes Bachelor of Science Degrees in Anthropology and Biology from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Wildlife and Fisheries of Conservation from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.A single complimentary drink and light snacks will be provided at the event. After which, there will be a cash bar with wine, beer, and soft drinks.
