Tribe 12

A guided meditation/reflection for Tu B’Shvat on oppression, inequality and ways we can use our privilege to elevate others

Confronting and understanding our privilege can be an uncomfortable and daunting experience. As members of both marginalized groups and privileged groups, we share a unique position in society of both understanding some aspects of oppression, while also having the power and responsibility to uplift others. Judaism has a long history/tradition of generosity & service, in “gimilut chesedim” (acts of charity) and “tikkun olam” (repairing the world). For Tu B’Shvat, join Tribe 12 in a guided meditation/reflection on oppression, inequality, and ways we can accept the discomfort that accompanies our privilege, and use our privilege to elevate other marginalized groups.Accessibility: Please email jess@tribe12.org with accessibility requests.__________________________________________________________________________________Our LGBTQIA+ programming is for anyone who wants to explore the intersectionality of Jewish and queer identities. NOTE: This event is open to those who identify as “allies” as well
