Yes, you CAN grow dahlias in Florida! Join Eileen of <a href="http://www.farmgalflowers.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FarmGal Flowers</a> for this dahlia intensive. Eileen will share her secrets for growing these beautiful flowers in the Florida sun. Students will learn:• when and how to plant tubers• how to maintain and stake dahlias• which varieties grow best here• how to harvest blooms and extend vase life• how to dig, divide, and store tubersEileen will answer all of your dahlia questions, share tubers with you, and you will receive a dahlia tuber dividing knife! Students will also be invited to join the FarmGal Flowers Dahlia Intensive Facebook group.This workshop will be held outdoors in the East End Market garden. Students will be notified as soon as possible if the workshop needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Please bring gardening gloves (if you would like to handle tubers), pen, notebook, hat, water, etc. “We’re so proud of you FarmGal Flowers!
