Nervos Network: A Deep Dive into Nervos' Layered Design

Nervos is network of scalable and interoperable blockchains built on top of an open network. It has its own public permissionless blockchain as the base layer protocol, which is called the Nervos Common Knowledge Base (CKB). Together with upper layer solutions such as the Nervos AppChain, the Nervos Network provides high performance processing without compromising decentralization and security.

关于Nervos Network
Nervos Network 是由 Nervos 基金会发起并维护的一个公有区块链网络的总称。它是一个基于区块链技术的多层设计的网络，而非单一的区块链。 Nervos Network 的目标是打造下一代加密经济网络，这个网络包含一组互操作协议，专门为商业应用场景充分优化，通过分层架构设计，将底层主链(Layer 1)与应用链 (Layer 2)分离，使系统更容易扩展并兼顾极高的性能，去中心化和安全性。

Nervos AppChain 是一套完整的 Layer 2 应用公链解决方案，其采用来自秘猿科技的基于微服务架构 CITA 为内核。CITA 作为成熟的区块链解决方案，在过去两年中成功地支撑了多家银行和金融机构的区块链创新业务。AppChain 在 CITA 基础上专门针对商业应用做了大量改进，包括支持灵活的激励机制（原生代币经济模型）和治理机制（通过智能合约进行记账节点配置、权重分配等）。公有链模式下的 AppChain 由强力节点作为记账节点，其他节点作为同步节点共同维护一个高性能的区块链生态。
 
Nervos 核心团队由深耕区块链多年的工程师、专家和学者组成。首席架构师谢晗剑（Jan Xie）曾作为以太坊的 Core team member 在以太坊的 Research team 跟 Vitalik 一起参与了 Casper 协议的早期研究，设计，实现，并维护 pyethereum 项目。CEO 太檑（Terry Tai）是云币网和 Peatio 交易所的核心技术人员；首席科学家张韧曾为 BlockSteam（Bitcoin 核心开发团队）工作，是 BlockStream 团队唯一的中国人。
