Introduction
2018 IUIA Berkeley US-China Business Plan Competition is hosted by International Universities Innovation Alliance (IUIA) to discover start-ups that are in the domains of Industrial 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, and New Material/Energy. The finalists will receive a free trip to China to meet with investors and business partners, tickets for Oct 7-2018 Berkeley China Summit with Noble Price Winner, Turing award winners, and other industry leaders, and strategic consulting services. We cordially invite all experts and entrepreneurs to apply.

Competition Requirement
<OL>
<LI>Participant can participate in either in teams or individuals, however, each team or individual can only participate in ONE category</LI>
<LI>Participant's project needs to satisfy the need of the Chinese market, and need to be willing to relocate and develop in China</LI>
<LI>Products or ideas proposed during the competition can be already patented or invented, it can be also in progress of research with prospect of becoming public. The product or idea needs to be high-tech, strategic and demanded. Participant needs to have either patent or corresponding legality for usage</LI>
<LI>Participant or team shall not only investigate the market, making a thorough business plan, but also focus on its technology, market prospect and strategy, and capital demand, and have a clear team structure, future plan, and business model</LI>

<LI>The finalists will receive a free entrepreneurship Bootcamp to China and meet up with strategic industry investors. Here are some examples of the companies that the finalists would meet during the boot camp.

<LI>Such as XCMG Group (Caterpillar of China), which ranks 1st among the Chinese construction machinery industry and 5th in the world's construction machinery industry.</LI>
<LI>GCL energy is a new energy company under GCL Group. It has the second largest installed solar capacity in the world. Currently operating 211 power plants internationally.</LI>
<LI>Evergrande Group, the top 2 largest real estate development company in China with revenue of over USD 50 billion and a large consumer of technology and industrial products. </LI>
<LI>Vimicro, leading AI company in China</LI>
<LI>Finalists will meet with investor partners such as WI Harper, leading US-China VC fund, Arm China, Alibaba/Alibaba Cloud and etc.</LI>

4. 决赛入围者将获得比赛办法的奖杯与证书并获得媒体曝光。
5. 入围者将获得由成功的企业家/投资者提供的关于筹集资金和业务发展的实用技巧的创业培训。
6. 入围者将获得有关进入中国市场的战略咨询服务。
