COURSE DESCRIPTION:Online Intermediate prerequisite Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course uses a hybrid instructional design to present the course material. The first part of the course is the student online independent study that is completed prior to class and can be accessed using the scratch-off code in the student workbook. You will have access to the online course 30 days before the course date and must complete the online portion no later than 1day before the in-person course. Once completed, your name will be electronically recorded on the class roster and available to the instructor noting the prerequisite completion. One Day In-person Course (March 22, 2023)This one day in-person Instructor led course is designed for the perinatal clinician who has successfully completed the online Intermediate prerequisite. This hybrid course will enhance your knowledge and understanding of the foundational principles of fetal heart assessments, NICHD terminology, targeted interventions and skills that support safe intrapartum care.To receive CNE/CME credit, participants must complete both the online prerequisite and the instructor lead in person session which includes successful completion of required skill stations and passing the online knowledge integration test.LOCATION: The class location will be announced and sent to you closer to the course date! COURSE AGENDA:Class will begin promptly at 8:00 am and end by 5:00 pm. The eight-hour portion includes didactic content, case studies and short practice tracings followed by skill stations to reinforce the principles and practices of FHM. Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring using NICHD terminology within a safety culture framework of interdisciplinary teamwork.2. Describe clinical interventions and related maternal-fetal physiology to optimize fetal oxygenation.3. Demonstrate collaborative communication in the perinatal setting.4. Kendall Hunt will ask you for this number when purchasing your materials.CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:Participants who attend the entire class and complete the evaluation and feedback form will receive 11.25 CNE/CME credits. There is also 0.5 hours of pharmacology credits available. A test score of 80% or higher is required to receive continuing education credits. The test can be taken twice. Therefore, courses are subject to cancelation if the minimum number of two clinicians have not registered within 7 days before the start of class. In such cases, a full refund, minus Eventbrite fees, will be granted. Although it is highly unlikely that class will be canceled, attending class with a colleague, and registering through our "buddy registration" will ensure your desired course is offered. If a registered participant cancels their registration for unforeseen reasons, a full refund will be granted if cancellation is submitted in writing prior to class.
