The WICAP Project LAUNCH 4th Annual LAUNCH Idaho Kids Conference is designed to provide Idaho's early childhood education and wellness professionals with a free and fun workforce development opportunity specifically for them! This is an all day event (8:30AM-4:00PM).

Key Note: Dr. Burke Harris is considered a leading expert in the long-term effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences and toxic stress as well as a pioneer in the treatment of childhood trauma.Her career has been dedicated to serving vulnerable communities and combating the root causes of health disparities. After completing her MPH at Harvard and residency at Stanford, she founded a clinic in one of San Francisco’s most underserved communities, Bayview Hunters Point. It was there that Burke Harris identified Adverse Childhood Experiences as a major risk factor affecting the health of her patients and applied research from the CDC and Kaiser Permanente to develop a novel clinical screening protocol. She will be speaking more on The Impact of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) on Individual Mental Health & The Preventative Childhood Experiences that Can Build Resilience

Cody Clark is a 30 year old professional magician/autistic self-advocate from Louisville, KY. He was diagnosed with autism at 15 months of age and his parents were warned he’d never walk, talk, hold down jobs, or tell them he loved them. His parents' tenacity combined with therapy services received from autism specialists and at schools allowed him to surpass all expectations!

Dr. William DeMeo is a Developmental Psychologist who consults with an organization that serves over 1,000 daycare programs across the country. In addition, he also has a private practice that specializes in serving children and families that other agencies are not able to serve in the Greater Cincinnati area. William had coordinated the mental health services for Cininnati Public Schools' Early Childhood Program for the past 25 years. A former teacher, he has taught at all levels, from elementary through the university. Finally, William is a National Certified Olweus Trainer, National Association of School Psychollosist Approved Provider and a National Consultant for the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention. He is Speaking on Challanging Behavior and what to do when nothing else works.

This year's three expert speakers will inspire and excite attendees in preparation for beginning the upcoming school year.
