This month’s general meeting of the 4th Corner Fly Fishers will be held at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club on Thursday, July 28, 2016. The Wet Fly will begin at 6pm with dinner at 6:45. The program will begin at 7:30 and will be followed by the general membership meeting.
This month’s speaker is Sean Gallagher presenting “The making of WILD STEELHEAD: The Lure and Lore of a Pacific Northwest Icon and the Celebration of Several of the Sports Most Iconic Figures (around the campfire).” Sean is a retired school teacher living near Mt. Rainier in Enumclaw, Washington. As a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest Sean grew up in steelhead country. He has pursued steelhead for over 50 years, exploring more than 100 rivers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and the Russian Far East.
Sean's digital slide show includes a number of photos that have never been published mixed with images from his book WILD STEELHEAD. This is a behind the scenes look at the making of the large two volume book, along with a celebration of steelhead. Sean has connections to the Bellingham area and is looking forward to a night of festivity.
Please RSVP for the meeting by Wednesday, July 27 at 8am by visiting http://4cff.eventbrite.com, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone at 360-319-1350. Be sure to indicate if you’ll be having dinner or just attending the meeting, and remember that a dinner reservation made is a binding commitment to pay. Also, a reminder that getting your RSVP in on time helps us provide an accurate count for the kitchen and we very much appreciate your help in placing your reservations on time.
Also, just a reminder that next month is our annual summer picnic. This year the picnic will be held at the Leighton residence on SATURDAY, August 27. Sign-ups and dinner / potluck information will be forthcoming in early August.
