He is focused on building out the next generation of IT Security services and IT Security controls to protect the organization, the employees, the partners, and the customers. Afterhours, Micah volunteers with the Greater Cincinnati ISSA Chapter, is a board member of a 501c3 with the intent to bring a Hacker Conference to his city of Cincinnati, and has had the honor to present at many prestigious IT Security Conferences. In this talk, he&#x27;ll cover the following:<ul><li>What is Zero Trust Architecture and why is it so hard</li><li>Creating Better Requirements</li><li>Zero Trust Networking Overview</li><li>Building Blocks</li><li>Zero Trust Architecture Decision Matrix</li></ul>09:00 - 09:50 – <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/gopi-r/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Gopi Ramamoorthy</a>, Symmetry Systems | Everybody talks about Zero Trust, but help me to prioritize! Zero Trust was coined by John Kinderwag in 2010, a cybersecurity veteran and a former analyst at Forrester. Zero Trust is a principle and it has different elements, process connections and technology touchpoints to it. CISA and NIST institutions have defined the key elements of Zero Trust, tenets of Zero Trust, its foundation and pillars. Gopi will cover the following: <ul><li>Part 1: Overview of Zero Trust principles. </li><li>Part 2: The pillars of Zero Trust, where to start for each pillar and how they can be implemented. The speaker will also provide guidance on where to start and which ones to prioritize. </li><li>Part 3: Discussion of the many technologies that have to be used to achieve Zero Trust. </li><li>Part 4: Focus on how to monitor, automate and optimize ZT implementation and usage. </li></ul>10:00 - 10:50 – Election Discussion: Hear from the nominees (TBA) for the open board positions10:50 - 11:30 – Closing Remarks
