You&#x27;ll learn to DRIVE your bike, intentionally, into corners, using your mass and body position to maximize traction and control. NOTE: Riders must have completed a &quot;Cornering 101 Clinic&quot; with CycologyMTB to enroll in this course. The Cornering 101 Clinic introduced you to a deeper understanding of cornering on a mountain bike. In Cornering 202 you&#x27;ll take those skills to the next level, adding amplitude, pressure, and timing components, and a deeper understanding of cornering in ALL three dimensions. S﻿have seconds. We threw out the book that YouTubers and old school coaches use and reinvented the approach to teaching by using what works in real-world instruction, from professional athletic organizations to executive-level corporate training programs. Coach Brian K. Holder (M.A.T., Ed.S.) has two Masters degrees in education and over 15,000 hours of experience in instruction. He has been a licensed professional educator in 5 states. He uses techniques endorsed by PMBIA (licensed in Whistler, B.C.), the world&#x27;s premier mountain biking instruction organization, but has developed a new program based on what he&#x27;s observed by analyzing the top UCI DH and Enduro World Series contenders. There&#x27;s no better instruction available anywhere in the world to help riders develop mountain bike riding skills. WHAT TO BRINGA well-tuned modern geometry (2015 -present) mountain bikeFlat pedals, NOT “clip” or “clipless,” or clipless pedals with an insert, or platform. Please remove cages from flat pedals if so equipped.Closed-toe shoes that are compatible with the pedals you’ll be using. It’s important that your pedals and shoes work together.Appropriate dress for the climate conditions. Check the weather. Failure is not an option. Why a clinic?MTB clinics focus on learning bike handling skills. The skills build on one another; a solid foundation of the basics is important. By learning the foundational skills one at time, a rider can feel comfortable and safe on unfamiliar, challenging terrain. Trial and error is a slow, difficult, painful, and expensive process that has questionable results. The consequences of failure are injury, pain, time off the bike, shortened riding season, loss of confidence, fear, self-doubt, and damaged equipment. Don&#x27;t try to teach yourself next-level skills. D﻿on&#x27;t assume that your buddies know how to instruct, even if they have advanced riding skills. &quot;Just send it&quot; advice often lands you in the Urgent Care or Emergency Room. Millions have been spent on researching how humans learn best. Cycology MTB Coaching stays up to date on educational and instructional research and applies those best practices in our programs. Are the coaches certified? Yes. Coaches are PMBI (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor) certified and are certified in First Aid.What if there is something I am not comfortable with riding? Participation for every component of our courses is voluntary. Riders are NOT required to do anything that makes them uncomfortable or is above their skill level. Just let Coach know if you&#x27;re not comfortable with a challenge or feature. You&#x27;ll be given an alternative challenge that better suits your skill level. If the coach feels the rider isn&#x27;t experienced to be in the clinic he or she signed up for the coach reserves the right, for the safety of the rider and the group, to send them home. L﻿IABILITY WAIVERA﻿ll participants will be required to sign a release of liability waiver before the clinic begins.
