AAMA Silicon Valley

Join us for an exclusive event focusing on the latest digital transformation and innovations taking place in Silicon Valley and in China.  The event will offer a futuristic view of digital transformation across industries where our guest speaker Edith Yeung will share her direct insights on the <A HREF="http://www.abacusnews.com/china-internet-report" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">China Internet Report 2018</A>, a joint venture between us at Abacus, the South China Morning Post and 500 Startups.
China's internet is now ubiquitous across the country's industries and population, and it continues to change and grow. The China Internet Report covers key information about China’s internet landscape, including lists of Chinese unicorns, the country’s top internet companies and most active investors, and a side by side comparison of the internet population in China and the US.
The report begins with a summary of four overarching themes that captures the uniqueness of China's tech industry growth over the past year. It then delves more deeply into 12 sectors of importance: ecommerce, content & media, social & messaging, sharing economy, artificial intelligence, smart devices, autonomous cars, blockchain, fintech, education, gaming and eSports. 
This event will also feature a panel discussion with founders and innovators who will share their insights on what it takes to win in the digital age and what new technologies are on the horizon for the industry in Silicon Valley and abroad.  The panel discussion will be immediately followed by our AAMA Summer Mixer hosted by Morgan Lewis.  Enjoy drinks, meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, and celebrate the end of summer!  Farewell Summer, Welcome Fall!

Dan Grover, Product Manager - Messenger Platform, Facebook 
Dan Grover is best known for several popular essays on the topic of product design in China and on messaging and bots. These were born out of his time living in Guangzhou, China as one of the few non-Chinese members of the core WeChat product team at Tencent. Prior to that, he was an engineer and startup founder. He is currently a product manager at Facebook.
