Chris also sells locally foraged crops like spicebush berries, black walnuts, and ramps. Chris and his wife, Michelle Gorman, installed a 13.26kW solar array in 2015 to power their farm. The cost of the array was reduced by 55% via a USDA REAP grant, and the Federal Investment Tax Credit.P﻿aul Harper of <a href="https://woodlandridge.grazecart.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Woodland Ridge Farm: </a>Paul, a West Virginia native, has owned and operated Woodland Ridge Farm and Learning Center since 2000. Woodland Ridge Farm and Learning Center features two solar grids (12kW and 8 kW systems) that provide renewable energy to the AirBnB and farmstead building, with a custom battery backup and storage system designed to provide reliable, off grid energy. B﻿rady Kirwan and Amanda Wilson of <a href="https://www.olddutchhops.com/home" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Old Dutch Hops</a>: After leaving their jobs at the National Park Service, Brady and Amanda started growing organic hops in 2015 on Amanda's family farm, and over the years have moved away from hops and into grazing animals. They integrated rooftop solar into their business in 2020/21 with a 9 kw grid tied system.
