About usCASTP organization (CASTP) is a non-profit and non-political organization founded in 1994 and draws its members from highly educated and experienced professionals serving in science, technology, finance, business, education, culture, and healthcare in the greater Pittsburgh area. CASTP’s mission is to encourage technological development, scientific research, and investment in cultural diversity and educational outreach.Carnegie Museum of Art is one of the most dynamic major art institutions in America. It collects more than 30,000 objects featuring a broad spectrum of visual arts. The museum is committed to global engagement, regional advancement and frequently explores the role of art and artists in confronting key social issues of our time, combining and juxtaposing local and global perspectives.

About the eventIn 2023, to celebrate cultural diversity, science and technology, and art, CASTP and Carnegie Museum of Art work together to bring a face-to-face celebratory experience to everyone on site! This 5-hour event features dazzling performances from the Greater Pittsburgh multicultural community, as well as an on-going Fair that includes photography and Youth Art exhibitions, the paintings of award-winning New York abstract artist, Hedy O’Beil, robot shows, VR game interaction, and various cultural activities.Time: 1:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, January 15th, 2023<ul><li>F﻿air 1:00-3:00 pm</li><li>Show 3:30-5:30 pm (everyone can enter the Music Hall after 3:00 pm)</li></ul>Location: Carnegie Museum of Art (4400 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213)Ticket: Free of charge! (Registration required. Donations welcome click <a href="https://square.link/u/z7nS27w4" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>) All attendees are encouraged to wear festive clothes of your own choice, including traditional festive outfits, Qipao, HanFu, tunics, etc. Food vendors on site (cash only).

Xiaobo's Waist Drum Dance GroupThe waist drum dance is a part of popular Chinese traditional celebrations. It is commonly seen on various Chinese festive occasions. The red drum is strapped to the waist by colorful ribbons, allowing the drummers great mobility as they play upbeat rhythms and dance to the joyful music. Xiaobo's Waist Drum Dance Group includes both Chinese and Americans. They have performed in several states, such as Pennsylvania, Ohio and Las Vegas for international festivals, community parades, and Chinese New Year galas. They are well received by an international audience.

Zhou, Yi - PIPA and QIN SOLOISTZhou Yi was born in Shanghai, China. After graduating from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Zhou Yi moved to New York. Praised for her “breathtaking” meticulous technique and expressiveness by the Washington Post, New York-based pipa and qin soloist. Participated in the founding of the New York Baban Chinese Music Association. She has worked with: New York Philharmonic orchestra, Metropootan Symphone Orchestra, etc.

S﻿ong, Feihong - Peking Opera artistSong Feihong is the daughter of Song Baoluo, a famous Peking Opera artist who used to sing for the last emperor in China. Although gifted in music, art and literature like her renowned father, the beautiful girl did not pursue a career of professional singer but became a cultural ambassador through years of dedication to teaching and sponsoring cultural events in the Chinese community. She devoted more than 200 hours a year at different schools demonstrating Chinese culture. Her New China Bookstore located in Philadelphia is considered the most successful bookstore in USA.
