Your Dinknesh team is hosting the 4th annual Dinknesh formal dinner program. In commemoration of the international Women’s Day, this program celebrates the success and accomplishments of Ethiopian women locally and abroad. Dinknesh’s main objective is to recognize and honor women for their exceptional and outstanding service, excellence, commitment, and leadership. Join us on March 11th 2023, as we celebrate the people in our community whose work has outstanding impact in the lives of many. The Amharic word ‘Dinknesh’ roughly translates to ‘phenomenal’. The event aims to create a platform where unsung Ethiopian and Ethiopian American heroines of high academic, professional, business and community service achievements are recognized. Special focus is given to women who come from marginalized and/or minority communities who have had very little opportunity to succeed but have made a difference in their own lives and that of their community’s by overcoming various challenges. We believe that such a night to celebrate womanhood and achievement is very important to strengthen the sense of belongingness and purpose. It creates an opportunity for the women to share their stories and inspire others.
