JOIN US FOR A UNIQUE AND EXCITING LOOK INTO HANDS ON DESIGN THINKING WITH DR LIZ SANDERS

This in-person interdisciplinary creative design sprint will provide you with new Creative Research techniques. All participants will receive a toolkit to take with them!Dr. Sanders is an expert in defining creatively effective approaches in innovation in many arenas including health. Her work in diverse design research techniques for distinct problems are drawn from her time and industry tested methods. MAKETOOLS is predicated on deploying across disciplinary and cultural boundaries.Schedule:Friday Jan 20th<ul><li>Intro Lecture With Dr. Sanders: URBN Annex Screening Room 3141 Filbert Street 6pm-7pm</li></ul>Saturday Jan 21st <ul><li>10:00 am - 4:00 pm -- Design Sprint, Breakfast and Lunch Provided URBN Center 4th Floor 3501 Market Street</li><li>4:30 pm -5:30 pm Ending Reception and Exhibit URBN Center Lobby 3501 Market Street</li></ul>During the event, participants will be asked to innovate and define the problems moving into the future and how our health “spaces” have changed. PARTICIPANTS WILL WORK WITH CONTENT EXPERTS IN GROUPS USING LIZ’S MAKETOOLS PROCESS ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:<ul><li>Retail and Merchandising in Health (new types of health care delivery)</li><li>Aging in Place in the Urban Environment</li><li> Intergenerational Creative Spaces and Community</li><li>Hospitals and the Delivery of Patient Centered Care</li><li>Shelters and Comfort in the Post Pandemic Urban Landscape</li><li>New Solutions for Health at Home</li></ul>DESIGN SPRINT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD ALSO PLAN ON ATTENDING THE LECTURE JAN 20 FROM 6:00 PM TO 7:00 PM IN THE URBN ANNEX 3141 FILBERT STREETSponsored by the Westphal College Rankin Scholars Program
