* Tanja Ostojić: Looking for a Husband with EU Passport, 2000–05Migration spans millions of years and the reasons are varied and complex. In this discussion, artists of the exhibition will share their own personal stories and experiences with immigration, racism, &amp; the pursuit of happiness and how it relates to works in the show. Please login to Zoom using the same name that you use in Eventbrite, so that we know that it&#x27;s you.PARTICIPATING SPEAKERSJ﻿odie Lyn-Kee-Chow, Michikazu Matsune, Tanja OstojićBIOSJodie Lyn-Kee-Chow is a 1.5 generation Jamaican-American interdisciplinary artist living and working in Queens, NY. Her work often explores performance and installation art drawing from the nostalgia of her homeland, Caribbean folklore, fantasy, feminism, globalism, spirituality, environmentalism, and migration. Michikazu Matsune utilizes diverse approaches which range from stage-performances, interventions in public spaces, to fabricating artefacts for performative action. His personal approach, characterized both critical and playful, examines the tension around our cultural ascriptions and social identifications. Matsune is originally from the seaside town of Kobe and has been based in Vienna since the 1990s.Yugoslavian born Tanja Ostojić is a performance and interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. She includes herself in performances and uses diverse media in her artistic researches, thereby examining social configurations and relations of power. She works predominantly from the migrant woman’s perspective, while political positioning and integration of the recipient define approaches in her work.
