Join TCU’s Bob Schieffer College of Communication and Fort Worth Report for a listening event.

Listening, truly listening, is hard. Even harder is making changes based on that listening. Yet, listening can transform a fragmented community, helping it to reach its fullest potential through collaboration and problem-solving. Over breakfast, coffee, and fellowship, our trained community listeners will serve as facilitators for a listening event for community members, focusing on topics that are inspired by residents who register for the event. Instead of featuring panelists or speakers, this Candid Conversation session will be focused on listening to community members in the room, using facilitated discussion around each table. We can’t think of a better way to spend time before Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., weekend.At the end of the listening session, several researchers at TCU will synthesize some of the ideas generated by this event. Our table facilitators will help us share ideas with others in the room, as well as sharing with organizations in Fort Worth that are working on these issues. It is a FREE community event with FREE parking. Complimentary continental breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 8 a.m.When you register for our listening event, please let us know what topics you might like our group to discuss during this Candid Conversation event. Limit is two tickets per registered participant, please.
