OVERVIEW
Nothing is more soothing on a cold, rainy day than lingering over a hot cup of tea. To beat the winter blues, Babe O’Sullivan and Cindy Bishop with La Vie en Rose Tea and Catering, are offering a British-style afternoon tea both Saturday and Sunday (book Saturday separately). Enjoy a delicious 3-course tea complete with finger sandwiches and other savories, scones and sweet treats. These will be accompanied by a selection of teas from our local Smith Teamaker.
One seating is available each day starting at 2:00 pm. We’ll transform the hotel’s dining room into a beautiful tea room furnished with fine china, silver, damask linens and fresh flowers to set the mood. There will be several small tea tables set up to seat up to 20 people so bring some friends or enjoy the company of the other guests. You can be seated with your registered guests or with others. Tea parties are always a lively affair!
See the sample menu below for an example of the typical offerings. While most of the items will be vegetarian, we’re not able to offer dairy-free or gluten-free options at this event.
Your hosts, Babe O’Sullivan and Cindy Bishop, have been enjoying afternoon tea for over 30 years in their travels to England, Ireland, Canada and major cities in the US. They’ll guide you through the elements of a traditional tea service and introduce you to some of the finer points of tea etiquette.

The ticket price includes all food and drink.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
- We require vaccinations with latest bivalent booster to participate. Additionally, masking when not eating or drinking is recommended but not required.
- We have a high efficiency air filter we'll have running. We will add some airflow with open windows.
- All surfaces and silverware will be sanitized and we'll have hand sanitizer and wipes available.
- We will continue monitoring the covid situation and may change protocols if needed.
