Aquatic Park & Pier Project is a community-led initiative focused on realizing the full potential of this historic waterfront park and its surroundings, and to rebuild its protective, iconic pier so that future generations can enjoy this special place in San Francisco.

Ahoy San Francisco! The National Park Service has permanently closed public access to Muni Pier at Aquatic Park. You no longer can fish from there, you no longer can walk your dog on it, you no longer can take in the views from the Pier. When we were preparing the Vision Study for Aquatic Park and Pier last year, fixing the Pier was the public&#x27;s #1 priority for Aquatic Park. Let&#x27;s speak up!Join with City Supervisors Stefani and Peskin and many others who love the park to show the world how much Aquatic Park means to us and the City of San Francisco. What will happen? Postcard-writing (provided). Polar Plunge. Rowing Elves. Bring your friends. Bring your dog. Wear a costume. Come on down! You can make a difference! Help us send a message to Washington to fix the Pier NOW. We have the ears of our Federal legislators but they want to hear noise and see how much the city loves this place. Join us for a rally in support of the Pier on Saturday, December 3 at 11 am at the Aquatic Park bleachers.

The pier is closed until it can be repaired or rebuilt.

The iconic pier is falling apart and requires major federal investment. For 80 years, it has protected Aquatic Park from the Bay&#x27;s sea surge, creating a safe place for swimming and other water activity as well as a free viewing area for the city&#x27;s memorable landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Coit Tower and the City skyline.
