This class covers the care, maintenance and pruning of apple and pear trees.

Research Center and Demonstration Orchard

<p>University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge to local communities. Educational programs and projects are developed based on local needs in partnership with other agencies and volunteers. </p>

<p>Master Gardener, Yutaka Nomura will teach you how to care for your trees, how to keep them healthy and how to prune for the best fruit production. Part of class instruction will be indoors, and part will be outdoors where the demonstration of the basic pruning techniques particular to apple and pear trees will take place.</p>
