This initiative organizes local Black communities in safe spaces to expand, heal, and address our accountability in contributing to the progression not decline of our people.

UMOJA: JANA, LEO, KESHO honors &amp; celebrates the continuity of Black creation with time announcing unified creation as Black fate: yesterday, today, and tomorrow.LEO: Paying homage to the current, LEO analyzes the state of the Black contemporary and the context surrounding how we create joy for ourselves and our collective.UMOJA : LEO hosts at NOSA in Nubian Square to celebrate Black artists displaying art &amp; writings under the theme of &#x27;Joy in the Present&#x27; with infectious sounds from DJ Motivate Merren setting the scape for the rich works of Rita Tinega, Zahirah Truth, Jamaal Bonnette, Maryam Rose, &amp; Ivy Ngugi. Join us for a night of of full body stimulation unlike any other. $30 ticket includes refreshment, live music, SWAG bag, gallery + short film viewing and the opportunity to purchase selected displayed works.
