The Gold Beams brand curates beautifully eclectic events, experiences, programming, and productions for Black creatives and our Black community at large. Our signature event, Second Mondays, is a home for an array of Black art and ethereal communion. Through Gold Beams, you get to be privy to a world of one-of-a-kind moments, events, performances, and so much more!Second Mondays is a creative hub + open mic for Black artists. Though many of the artist bring their spoken word pieces, we highlight all forms of art. This includes musicians, visual performances, comedians, storytellers, graphic designers-whatever. The stage welcomes comedy, poetry, singing, rapping, instrumentalists, and more!</p><p>It&#x27;s what we at <a href="https://www.goldbeams.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Gold Beams</a> have been doing for three years. </p><p>And... it&#x27;s fun AF!</p><p>All ages welcomed 🤰🏿👶🏿👩🏿‍👱🏿‍♂️🧑🏿‍🦱👨🏿‍🦰👩🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦳👨🏿‍🦳</p><h2>Venue - <a href="https://oakstop.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Oakstop</a> 🏡:</h2><ul><li>The event is hosted at the new Oakstop location on 2323 Broadway in downtown Oakland.</li><li>Oakstop is a Black owned and operated  business. They provide workspace and venue rentals in locations throughout the Bay Area.</li></ul><h2>Artists 👩🏿‍🎤🧑🏿‍🎤👨🏿‍🎤:</h2><p>The Second Mondays open mic is open to Black creatives of various disciplines.</p><ul><li><strong>That includes </strong>comedians, musicians, poets, actors performing monologues, dance, etc.</li><li><strong>The open mic list</strong> opens with the doors at 6 pm</li><li>Artists have<strong> 5 minutes </strong>to perform on stage.</li><li>Artist must only perform <strong>one </strong>piece.</li><li>If you have <strong>instrumentals</strong>, be ready to airdrop them.</li><li><strong>Be prepared to perform acapella if </strong>there are issues sending your instrumentals.</li><li>Your art must <strong>be respectful </strong>to the people in the space.
