On February 21, 2023, The HBCU Career Center will be hosting Engineering Your Purpose with Dr. Nehemiah Mabry P.E. This workshop will provide tools for engineering professionals to examine their personal traits and characteristics and discover how they might leverage them to build a successful engineering career. We’ll cover:<ul><li>Why purpose is important</li><li>5 steps to engineering your purpose</li><li>Questions you must answer about yourself</li><li>Finding your zone of genius</li><li>How to identify your &quot;WHY&quot;</li><li>Where purpose can take you</li></ul>A﻿bout the Speaker: Dr. Nehemiah Mabry, P.E.Dr. Nehemiah &quot;Dr. Nee&quot; Mabry, P.E. is an Engineer, Educator and Entrepreneur based in Raleigh, North Carolina. His technical experience includes 15+ years as a NASA Researcher, Bridge Design Engineer, and Adjunct Professor. Dr. Mabry is also the CEO and Founder of STEMedia Incorporated, which he started as a PhD student in 2012. STEMedia is an edtech and digital media company that provides edutainment content and career development for young professionals in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) community. Since its inception, they have won international awards, engaged thousands through lectures and presentations, and partnered with several corporations, organizations and academic institutions in STEM outreach.About The HBCU Career CenterThe HBCU Career Center was founded in 2007 for students and professionals underrepresented and left out of the expensive career management market. We educate around job search skills, workplace realities and employment equity and support the career and professional goals of students, alumni and the broad HBCU community. Our offerings include career and job search resources, as well as a job and internship board to connect employers with talent.
