On Campus Preview Day: April 22, 2023

The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky is a residential program on the campus of Western Kentucky University for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interests in pursuing advanced careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students enhance their creativity, curiosity, reasoning ability, and self-discipline through the companionship of peers, university courses, faculty-led research, and study abroad, preparing them for leadership roles in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.Kentucky students apply to Gatton during their sophomore year. Students are selected to join an incoming junior class that will complete their last two years of high school by starting college at WKU within our supportive environment. Gatton is designed to provide academic challenge in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science

The Gatton Academy will host a Preview Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Central)

Florence Schneider Hall

<p>Preview Days are wonderful opportunities for prospective students and their families to meet current Gatton students and their parents, tour our building and the WKU campus, and gain a better understanding of student life at The Gatton Academy.</p><p>Families will meet in the Great Hall of The Gatton Academy's building, Florence Schneider Hall, on WKU's campus. (If attendee numbers exceed 200, we will move to a larger venue. Emails will be sent to attendees if needed.) Check-in begins at 9:30 AM CT. The first session begins at 10 AM CT.  Activities for the day include a campus tour and lunch, as well as parent and student question-and-answer panels. Please wear comfortable shoes for the campus tour. The deadline to RSVP is April 20, 2022.</p>
