Founded in 1822, Athens State is Alabama’s oldest educational institution of higher learning. As one of only a few “upper division” universities in the entire country, Athens State is a destination for transfer students and students with more than 36 hours of credit who may have paused their education and are seeking to finish their degree. The Athens State Community Band is pleased to announce dates for this year's CHRISTMAS CONCERT! This free, annual event is packed full of all your holiday favorites and is sure to put you in a festive, jolly mood! Tickets are free, but registration is required due to limited space. Please choose which concert date you would prefer.Sunday, December 4 at 2:30 PM Monday, December 5 at 7:00 PMBoth shows will be held in McCandless Hall on the campus of Athens State University in Athens, Alabama. A special holiday reception will follow both concerts in Glasgow Parlor, Founders Hall, courtesy of the Athens State University Alumni Association.
