Our monthly, livestream workshops are presented by Allegory’s talented team of editors and cover various topic on writing craft and the business of writing.

Class Description: First person, second person, third person ... limited? What does it all mean? And how do those choices impact a manuscript?Point of view is one of the most important choices a writer can make. It determines who tells the story and how they tell it. It also influences what information the reader can experience and improves character voice. This workshop will break down how each point of view functions, what it means to mix and match points of view, and why the character currently telling the story may not be the strongest choice.Whether you are working in fiction, narrative nonfiction, or even memoir, join Developmental Editor Elena Hartwell Taylor for a crash course on one of the most fundamental decisions a writer can make.Accessibility: Live auto-transcription will be available. Her most recent novel, <a href="https://www.amazon.com/All-We-Buried-Sheriff-Mystery/dp/1643852914/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">All We Buried,</a> appears under the name Elena Taylor. Prior to writing novels, Elena worked extensively in the theater as a playwright, director, educator, and designer. She has taught writing and theatre courses at the college/university level for more than twenty years. She holds a PhD in dramatic theory and criticism, a Master of Education with an emphasis in teaching theatre, and a BA in Mass Media Communications.
