<p>Elevate Northern Michigan is a quarterly summit series focused on boosting knowledge, shifting attitudes, decreasing stigma, and building support for youth mental health by learning about:</p><ul><li>psychology/neuroscience</li><li>practical well-being tools</li><li>leadership skills</li></ul><p>All are welcome at the summit — particularly young people aged 16-24 – and those who love them.</p><p>Our third Summit is 1-2:30p on Tuesday, February 7th at Northwestern Michigan College’s Innovation Center.</p><p>We Fight is grateful for NMC’s and United Way of Northwest Michigan's support and sponsorship of Elevate Northern Michigan.</p><h3>Speakers for Summit #3</h3><p>Dr. Michael Kern, Ph.D: School Psychologist at Interlochen Center for the Arts</p><p>Meg Mertaugh-Graber, M.Ed., MSW, LMSW Clinical, LICSW: Founder of Care-O-Van, PLLC, AVEC Care Farm &amp; AVEC/Attuned Visceral Expansive Care Institute</p><p>Jessie Perez: Family Navigator at National Alliance for Mental Illness Grand Traverse</p><h3>W﻿hy Elevate?</h3><p>We Fight recently underwent a strategic visioning process to better accomplish its vision: a northern Michigan where everyone plays a role in protecting our kids’ mental health.</p><p>The Elevate summit series is one optimistic, science-based step towards that vision.</p><p>"I hope that aspiring youth leaders leave this summit with a better understanding of the skills required to project their voice and tackle systemic change with the youthful determination that makes their advocacy so unique to begin with."</p><p>— Will Unger, We Fight leadership team member and Central High School senior</p><h3>R﻿egistration</h3><p>Registration is free.
