The New York Public Library has reopened all available branches. As of July 6, this location offers nearly full service, including general library use and seating, unlimited browsing, computer access, and more. A monthly program where expert librarians pit two literary detectives against one another and see who would solve a case faster!

Join us for a very special Dueling Detectives! This month we will be having a virtual author talk with Clare Mackintosh, international bestselling author of many mysteries, including Hostage, 2021 NYPL's Best Mystery of the Year! Author Bio:CLARE MACKINTOSH is an award-winning New York Times and international bestselling author. She spent twelve years on the police force in England and has written for The Guardian, Good Housekeeping, and other publications. Translated into forty languages, her books have sold more than two million copies worldwide. Clare lives in North Wales with her husband and their three children.This event will take place over Zoom.You must register with your email address in order to receive the link to participate. The link will be sent to you by email approximately one day before the program. You will need a device with audio and video and an internet connection to joinAssistive Listening and ASLASL interpretation and real-time (CART) captioning available upon request. Please submit your request at least two weeks in advance by emailing accessibility@nypl.org.
