The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center Inc. (The Clemente) is a Puerto Rican/Latino cultural institution that has demonstrated a broad-minded cultural vision and a collaborative philosophy. While The Clemente’s mission is focused on the cultivation, presentation, and preservation of Puerto Rican and Latino culture, it is equally determined to operate in a multi-cultural and inclusive manner, housing and promoting artists and performance events that fully reflect the cultural diversity of the Lower East Side and the city as a whole.

Art Talk &amp; Studio Visit with MicroResident artists Lulu Varona, Emmanuel Torres, Edra Soto and Daniela Fabrizi

Come join us for an art talk and studio visit evening with our recent MicroResident artists Lulu Varona, Emanuel Torres, Edra Soto and Daniela Fabrizi.<ul><li>Date: Saturday, November 5th</li><li>Time: 5:00-6:00pm</li><li>Location: 3rd floor in front of Edra Soto's Domino table installation</li></ul>Learn about Edra Soto's permanent installation, titled Let Love Win on the Clemente's third floor, followed by a visit to Emanuel Torres' studio to view his most recent paintings and their joint exhibition, Surrounded By Water, at neighboring LatchKey Gallery. In Room 406, artists Daniela Fabrizi and Lulu Verona will share their artisanal practice rooted in the rescue and repurposing of Latin American and Caribbean textile traditions, memories, political and cultural processes impacting lifestyles and environmental responsibility. Light refreshments will be served thanks to the partnership with LatchKey Gallery and Embajada Gallery
