The Gold Beams brand curates beautifully eclectic events, experiences, programming, and productions for Black creatives and our Black community at large. Our signature event, Second Mondays, is a home for an array of Black art and ethereal communion. Through Gold Beams, you get to be privy to a world of one-of-a-kind moments, events, performances, and so much more!Second Mondays is a creative hub + open mic for Black artists. Though many of the artist bring their spoken word pieces, we highlight all forms of art. This includes musicians, visual performances, comedians, storytellers, graphic designers-whatever. <h2>S﻿pecial Announcement:</h2><p></p><p>This months Talk it Out will be hosted at the <a href="https://www.slashart.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>/(slash)</strong></a> art gallery in San Francisco. </p><p>W﻿e&#x27;ll sit within the exhibition <a href="https://www.slashart.org/salt-to-catch-ghosts/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>SALT to CATCH GHOSTS </strong></a>curated by internationally acclaimed curator, creator and cultural strategist, <a href="https://www.ashara.io/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Ashara Ekundayo</strong></a>.</p><p>SALT to CATCH GHOSTS is an experiential exhibition laying bare radical imaginations from a selection of Black women and femmes whose large, magical works surround each witness and call them into a spiritual and environmental possibility of contemporary apothecary. Macroscaled textiles, sculptural installation, film, photography, print, and sound command devotees to look toward, be purified by, and journey into the immensity that is birthed from Black femme generosity, safety, rage, ritual, and ceremony.</p><p></p><p><strong>During this Talk it Out, we&#x27;ll be</strong> sharing stories, advice, struggles, and lessons learned when it comes to experiencing this world as a Black woman.</p><h2>We&#x27;ll Discuss:</h2><ul><li>R﻿elationships</li><li>S﻿ocietal Expectations</li><li>G﻿ender Clichés</li><li>H﻿ow the world responds to Black women</li><li>B﻿lack girl magic</li><li>A﻿nd more</li></ul><ul><h2></h2></ul><h2>we’re going to release what we&#x27;ve been thinking. </h2><h2>then we’re going to dream up the world we want.</h2><h2></h2><h2>The Run Down:</h2><p>We&#x27;ll have 2 incredible speakers to introduce segments of the night.  Speakers will spend 10 minutes sharing their personal journies, stories, and relationships with the theme, along with some of their best practices.  </p><p>They&#x27;ll then share 3 prompts/questions for us to have an open conversation filled with our respective thoughts, feelings and stories!</p><p>All ages welcomed 🤰🏿👶🏿👩🏿‍👱🏿‍♂️🧑🏿‍🦱👨🏿‍🦰👩🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦳👨🏿‍🦳</p><p></p><p>This space is for us to have dope conversations and connections about honest and fun topics and current events.</p><p>We&#x27;ll talk about things we&#x27;re curious about and get to hear perspectives from our peers. </p><h2></h2><h2>Additional Details:</h2><p>We&#x27;ll be taking pictures for Gold Beams and Oakstop to use.  </p><p></p>
