ABOUT MORVEN MUSEUM & GARDEN:A National Historic Landmark, Morven is unique in that it was home to many remarkable people. For nearly 300 years Morven has played a role in the history of New Jersey and the nation. Originally part of a 5,500-acre tract purchased from William Penn in 1701 by the Stockton family, it is the home of Richard Stockton, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, and is the only home of a New Jersey signer which is highly interpreted and open regularly to the public. As well as serving as a Stockton homestead for several generations into the 20th century, and home to generations of enslaved men and women, Morven was home to the families and household staff of Robert Wood Johnson, Jr., and five New Jersey Governors through 1982 as New Jersey’s first Governor’s Mansion.Morven Museum & Garden showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Garden State through regular exhibitions, educational programs and special events. Amidst the beautiful Festival of Trees, celebrate the holidays with a special “after hours” tour of Morven

<p>Celebrate the holiday season with a special “after hours” tour of Morven’s first floor with Deputy Director and Curator Beth Allan. Amidst the beautiful Festival of Trees, Beth will share little-known stories not included in Morven’s typical tour while illuminating a few ongoing mysteries uncovered during research. Attendees will enjoy holiday-themed snacks and a signature cocktail and wine in the museum’s Garden Room before the tour.
