Join us for an evening of conversation with writer and educator Candice Benbow as she discusses her viral response piece, <A HREF="http://www.candicebenbow.com/blog/443" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">4:43 </A>to Jay Z’s recently released album, 4:44, alongside BuzzFeed's very own Darian Symoné Harvin and the host of the podcast, "Am I Allowed To Like Anything." Beyond 4:44’s musicality, we will look at it through a Black Feminist lens to deconstruct his relationship with Beyoncé and what that means overall about how current society views intimate relationships, labor, and trauma.
