HOW WE DO ITWe gather in a sacred circle and practice slowing down and connecting to the present moment, one moment at a time, one person at a time. By co-creating a safe space for one another, we allow for the hidden to be revealed, for the implicit to become explicit, for the unconscious to become conscious. We allow for the authenticity of what IS to arise in us to be revealed and witnessed in the WE space. Then we just watch the magic unfold. Authentic Relating is a practice of creating more deeply connected and authentic relationships with everyone in your life. Authentic Relating is an embodied practice. We use our words as much as our silences to relate. You ARE it. Just as you ARE. Our purpose is to raise emotional intelligence and self-awareness by practicing how to:<ul><li>welcome everything </li><li>assume nothing</li><li>reveal the implicit</li><li>own our experience</li><li>honor self and honor the other </li></ul>WHAT TO EXPECTNone of us is perfect or complete. Most of us in this community are willing, curious and open to explore. Perfectly imperfect, we show up to fine-tune our relational skills, so we can take them out into the world and be the change we want to see. Willingness is the key. Willingness to be open, to be vulnerable enough to be seen, willingness to explore. The result is usually an incredibly powerful evening full of deep connection between seeming strangers, surprising revelations between old friends, deeply healing personal insights and sometimes honestly just a lot of raucous fun depending on who shows up and how WE show up. Confusion shows up sometimes as well, as does discomfort or disconnection and yet WE find the way to welcome it and integrate it and connect through it anyway. Mostly, we leave richer than we arrived. When we return to the outside world we may experience some other side effects such as heart and mind coherence, improved rapport with fellow humans, increased trust, improved integrity, increased capacity for intimacy, deep reflective listening, or some pure ol’ connection high. The seating is mostly floor seating, so if you are particular about comfort, bring your favorite pillow. This is an in-person, mask optional indoor event. No COVID-19 testing is required. ABOUT YOUR HOSTLana is a curious seeker, passionate communicator who strives for authenticity in all her interactions and just an overall connection junkie. She has been facilitating and co-facilitating connection events in LA for a few years now. It is a true honor witnessing people connect to their hearts and relate profoundly to their truths expanding as human beings in their relationships, work and play. As much as she loves community building, play and festive explorations, Lana also loves holding space for her coaching clients&#x27; deep emotional integration in a safe and loving container where they can integrate the obstacles holding them back from their true potential and be reminded of the healing power of self-acceptance and self-love.
