She created Earth Heart because she is in love with her Nature Relations; Theresa invites you to come explore your own connections through sensory immersion in Forests and other environments.

At a time when both the environment and humans are under stress, we can find a path to well-being by taking a walk in the woods. Earth Heart provides wellness services that foster wholeness for the individual and the planet. Theresa Lewis is a certified Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. This event will meet at the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park and continue in the adjacent city-managed Bosque. You can expect a guided sensory experience with invitations for you to explore connections with yourself, with others, and with our Nature Relations. There is a $3 per vehicle day-use fee at the Nature Center State Park; please pay at the self-pay station on site by cash/check.

Comfort in the outdoorsThe walk is slow and covers only a short distance with frequent stopping to sit or stand still. Wear multiple layers of clothing and comfortable walking footwear. Please bring anything you might want to make your walk comfortable and safe for you. You will need to carry your personal belongings. Consider the following items: <ul><li>small backpack</li><li>blanket, sit-upon, or light folding chair</li><li>extra layers, hat</li><li>water bottle/thermos </li><li>raincoat/poncho/umbrella</li><li>sunscreen and bug spray</li><li>personal medications, EpiPen, and/or inhaler</li><li>face mask</li></ul>COVID-19 protocolPrograms are outdoors, and masks are optional per state guidelines. Please practice physical distancing by maintaining space between you and other humans. Please consider bringing a mask in the event you need to go indoors (e.g., restrooms) or physical distancing is not feasible. If you are not feeling well, please reschedule your walk. Participants who develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 within 5 days before or after the event must contact Theresa. Thank you for your cooperation. WaiversAll participants must sign and return a waiver prior to the walk. Waivers are required for participation. Refunds and cancellationsThis event will be held rain or shine. Weather-related refunds will be given in the case of severe weather (e.g., thunder/lightning, high winds). Refunds will be given if the event is canceled by the organizer for any other reason.

The group will meet by the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park visitor lot. The walk will cover about one mile from the visitor parking lot to the Rio Grande and back.
