Black Fine Art the Gilded Age - A Salon Talk with Myrtis Bedolla

Black Fine Art Month (BFAM).  BFAM is a global celebration of the Black Art aesthetic, an annual recognition of artists, innovators, collectors, curators and those vested in the Black Art tradition, and an opportunity to commemorate these contributions through art programming.  The celebration affords us a moment to toast the bold gallerists and esteemed art purveyors who revere the aesthetic, drive the value; and invest in artists who are making a cultural impact.Through this annual recognition event we aim to accomplish the following :·	Create international awareness for the creativity and contributions of Black Fine artists.·	Develop an art ecosystem, through Black Fine Art Month, that connects Black Fine artists no matter where they are.·	Create awareness of the ecosystem needed to support Black Fine artists - collectors, curators, art journalists, institutions, others.·	Engage in dialogue that highlights the contributions of the Black Fine Art community.·	Create opportunities for artists to expand their practices, grow their creative output and solidify their financial well-being.

Pigment International Salon Talk - Black Fine Art:  The Gilded Age with Myrtis Bedolla

DuSable Museum of African American History

<p>(CHICAGO) – Pigment International will host a Black Fine Art Month (BFAM) 2022 Salon Talk Friday, October 21, 2022 at the DuSable Black History Museum &amp; Education Center featuring gallerist and curator Myrtis Bedolla. The event, titled, ‘Black Fine Art – The Gilded Age’  traces Bedolla’s 2022, that included mounting The Afro-Futurist Manifesto: Blackness Reimagined for the European Cultural Center (ECC) during the 59th Venice Biennale.    The event will be held in the Ames Auditorium in the Museum located in Washington Park.  Doors open at 6:00 with light refreshments.  </p>
