Join us for our first-ever Cocktails & Coral Talk event on November 6th featuring Independent Researcher, Richard Ross presenting 'Managing algae in reef tanks - it's not about nutrients.'

Cocktails & Coral Talk is a monthly speaker series presented by High Tide Aquatics, engaging groundbreaking marine biologists, aquarists, and hobbyists in casual conversation with the community. Speakers will cover topics from animal husbandry to biological chemistry and everything in between in a local, intimate setting. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet, ask questions, and learn directly from the experts.

All ages are welcome (must be 21+ to consume alcoholic beverages). Complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided. Donations are accepted and go toward event costs.

ABOUT RICHARD ROSS: Richard Ross is currently an independent researcher working on coral spawning and settlement and cephalopod behavior and breeding. He was responsible for maintaining the 212,000 gallon reef tank at the Steinhart Aquarium for a decade, helped breed pygmy seahorses (and other weird animals), and has worked virtually every position in the hobby and industry. In 2014 he was the recipient of the MASNA Aquarist of the Year/MASNA Award. Ross is author of the Skeptical Reefkeeping article series, and co-host of the no-fun nonsense Reef Beef Podcast.
