<h1>Plan now to join us for the Global Resiliency Accelerator on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 12-2 p.m. EST. </h1><h3>The Global Resiliency Accelerator, co-founded by Dr. Warren Larkin of the UK and Becky Haas of the US have planned a Learning Event for the next session on November 15th from 12-2 p.m. EST.  </h3><p>We are delighted to have Chuck Price, MS. Founder of Blue Collar Consulting, LLC presenting. This presentation is intended to take a look at the current ‘system’ and our current practices through a trauma informed lens, and then challenge all of us to apply the “know better, do better” mindset. Because…a trauma-informed approach to Child Welfare, and other systems,  is certainly a great foundation, but what if being ‘informed’ is still not good enough? A trauma-informed approach to the work is not just for the benefit of those we serve. It must be a parallel process with those in our organizations and departments. Understanding this will help our ‘people’ to be more regulated, resilient, and able to bring hope and energy into their professional and personal lives. The importance of a healthy workforce cannot be understated.</p>

<h2>Chuck's Bio</h2><p>Although there are many options for consultants to create trauma-informed environments and guide leaders through culture change, there are very few who have actually successfully led their organizations through this change. This is what sets Chuck Price and Blue Collar Consulting apart from the others, on-the-ground experience.  This experience, along with Chuck’s easy manner and ability to form authentic relationships, added to the countless days he’s spent as a coach on the track field, make Chuck a natural fit to help support you as you lead your agency’s transformation process.</p><p>Chuck has served in top leadership roles in several counties and private agencies over his 27-year career in child welfare and health and human services. Chuck’s career has been dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. He has been brave and selfless in his pursuit of excellence, often leading the way on pathways not yet traveled by his peers. He has served in leadership roles within both urban and rural settings, and public and private agencies, which provides Chuck with a diverse perspective and an ability to quickly understand and relate to challenges facing change leaders. </p><p>As a DHHS Director, Chuck led his department on a successful and transformational journey from doing traditional compliance-based practice to a trauma informed county. As a result of this transformation, recruitment and retention, agency health, and outcomes dramatically improved. At one point under Chuck’s leadership, there were no children living in congregate care, and overall numbers in care dropped dramatically. The results and process gained recognition across the state, the country and internationally. </p><p>During his tenure, the county Chuck led was selected as one of five jurisdictions in the U.S. to participate in a 3-year Innovation Cohort; which resulted in a 12% overall decrease of youth in foster care, and a 37% average decrease in youth in residential. Recognition of Chuck’s leadership didn’t stop there, from 2016-2018, Chuck was elected by his peers to serve as the President of the Wisconsin County Human Service Association). During Chuck’s tenure as President, led the association through an Organizational Effectiveness (OE) process focused on the Association’s infrastructure and leadership development for Directors statewide.</p>
