History Fort Lauderdale operates 3 museums & a research library on its historic campus on the New River. Guided tours of museums begin every day at 1, 2, and 3pm. <p>B﻿ryan Brooks is a writer living in North Florida with ancestors that sprang from deep southern roots. Though much of his writing is influenced by a thirty year career in the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, much more of it flows from spending over three thousand hours of his life underwater.</p>
