Learn how to set trauma-informed intentions for the Chariot year with Fanny Priest, the Trauma Witch!

Setting intentions can be a powerful tool for trauma repair by allowing us to tap into some of our most healing attributes: desire and agency. However, the ways in which we attempt to fulfill our intentions are often fueled by the same shame, urgency, and scarcity that created our trauma patterns in the first place. When faced with the enduring challenge of pursuing our heart’s desire, we often find ourselves working harder, when what we really need is to feel safer.What if we set our intentions not as a pass-fail assignment reflecting our worth as individuals, but instead as an invitation into a process of curiosity and compassion in which we can tend to our deeper wounds, and offer ourselves the witness, support, and care that can tackle our trauma patterns at their root? The Chariot, the card of the year for 2023, is a wonderful ally when working with intentions. With its theme of harnessing resources of intuition, momentum, and motivation to pursue our heart’s desire, The Chariot can teach us how to bring all of our seemingly disparate parts into working together towards the same goal.In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll explore: <ul><li>The Chariot card through the lens of developmental trauma repair.</li><li>Why many standard intention-setting practices have the potential to reinforce our trauma patterns.</li><li>How to discern whether our intentions support patterns of protection rooted in developmental trauma, or patterns of connection that will facilitate trauma repair.</li><li>How to be a safe caregiver to ourselves through the challenges of pursuing our intention.</li><li>How to open to receive &amp; celebrate the moments when our desire becomes reality.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀</li><li>This will be a highly experiential workshop, and will include a blend of lecture, personal reflection, and group sharing, as well as ample time for working on our intentions for the year, for integration, and for questions.</li></ul>In preparation for the workshop, please gather the following items:<ul><li>Pen &amp; paper or a journal.</li><li>Items to create a simple sacred space, such as candles, herbs or incense to burn, etc.</li><li>Your favorite tarot deck.</li><li>A cherished or ritual object, such as a crystal, talisman, stuffed animal, etc.</li><li>Snacks and drinks for nourishment.</li></ul>———————————————NOTE:This live, online workshop will be recorded. She helps healers, feelers, queers, and creatives repair attachment trauma so they can reclaim safety in the relationship with their bodies, feelings, and needs. She believes that trauma and grief work are the necessary foundation to accessing the pleasure that is our birthright, and building a just and sustainable world for all bodies.
