Specializing in interactive culinary education, Global Local Gourmet cooks up adventures far from expected, yet close to home in the form of cooking classes, wellness workshops, food as medicine training, culinary tours, team building, homesteading instruction, tastings and experiential food occasions.Global Local Gourmet is a gastronomical sanctuary for the food and art inquisitive, to mix, mingle, and cook, with the diversity that the region has to offer in food artisans, seasonal produce, and cooking retreats.A roving community supported kitchen, we empower people through culinary education. Creating interactive programs and events around an appreciation of delicious food and lifestyle, we inspire sustainable communities through the pursuit of epicurean pleasure.  With our partners, our goal is to show the interconnectedness of our world through food and culture while promoting business practices that respect the environment and each other.

The Harvest Mandala is a sharing of our thanks for our personal harvests and the bounty we can produce together. It is a vehicle to explore food, art, waste, wellness, sustainability, science, spirituality, and our existence in relation to the planet and each other. The very act of creating a mandala is therapeutic and symbolic. Mandalas present themselves everywhere in nature; they are the structures of our cells, our world, and our universe. Creating mandalas helps discover our connection with the earth and community through the metaphor of the mandala which means circle in Sanskrit. Consequently, they are an emblem of wholeness, continuity, interdependence, unification,prosperity, harmony and the cycle of life. The Harvest Mandala seeks to inspire those qualities to cultivate our collective well being and healing. Indulge in mandala making and interactive wellness stations that celebrate the notion of harvest as a manifestation of abundance.

Harvest Mandalas, is an interactive art project, think tank, cafe, &amp; wellness lab turning food waste into masterpieces and encourages visitors contemplation on their health and earth’s sustainability.
