Create Care Kits for children and teens who have lost a loved one and are receiving grief support services from OhioHealth Hospice.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:Ages 6-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you&#x27;ll be doing:In honor of Children&#x27;s Grief Awareness Day we invite children to explore what it means to lose a loved one through age-appropriate discussion. Then helping hands will create 2+ Care Kits to bring comfort to children and teens who have recently lost a loved one and are receiving grief support services from <a href="https://www.ohiohealth.com/services/ohiohealth-at-home/hospice" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OhioHealth Hospice</a>. When you&#x27;ll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are! This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on November 20th. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped November18th-20th from 9am-7pm at a Seeds of Caring volunteer&#x27;s home in Bexley or Gahanna. Addresses will be provided in the service packet.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.The meaning-making:Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you&#x27;ll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project&#x27;s guided discussion focuses on service and hospice.Approximate Cost: $15 for two kits (fidgets, journal, small craft frame, etc). Use crafts supplies on hand to decorate cards.Why you&#x27;ll be invited to donate:Every time we&#x27;re able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it&#x27;s with the help of supporters like you.
