After much prayer and consideration, we feel like God wants to encourage, equip, and propel His people to action. We believe God is raising up families who will worship together in spirit and in truth and wants to release a fresh vision in 2023. This is not a convention, it is not a sales pitch for Gather ‘Round, rather it is an intentional time for families and people with a shared vision to gather in His name and seek Him first. Our prayer is that you will walk away with confidence in who you are as individuals and as a family, what your purpose and calling is, and go forward in deeper unity with one another. Do you feel it? He’s about to move . . . What to expect: The sessions will start with worship and then be general encouragement applicable to the whole family. We feel led to have no children’s program and instead just be together (we will have some coloring pages available for kids at the back). Each swag bag will include a session handbook with a place for notes and include your schedule and important information. We may have some fun actionables after sessions such as family ministry time where we pray for one another, an opportunity to make vision boards, taking time to restore relationships with one another, and more (we’re still waiting on God for all the intricate details so stay tuned). We aren’t here to just hear a nice word, we want to walk away stronger and more fortified in our callings and destinies! We are also doing a teens night where Rebecca will share a short encouragement God has laid on her heart to the teens, there will be games, and possibly some snacks as well. <h1>Activities</h1><ul><li>On Friday afternoon from 1-4 pm, Lake Junaluska will open up their canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals to our group. Each rental ($10 per person per hour) includes a paddle and a personal floatation device (PFD). The lake is beautiful and this would be fun for the whole family! Please note that fishing and pets are not allowed on rental canoes, and boaters under age 18 must have an adult on the water with them.</li><li>There are tennis and pickleball courts, basketball court, volleyball, and gaga ball. Those areas are first come, first serve and you’ll want to bring your own equipment. </li><li>Fishing in Lake Junaluska is permitted in several areas. You can find out more information here: <a href="https://lakejunaluska.com/activities/fishing/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://lakejunaluska.com/activities/fishing/</a></li><li>There is a very nice playground on campus. </li><li>Take a stroll on the beautiful walking trail around Lake Junaluska where you’ll see some beautiful flowers blooming, birds, and a great view of the surrounding mountains. </li></ul>

<h1>Meal Options</h1>At Lake Junaluska, you can purchase meal tickets for your family during your stay. They do need to be bought at least 45 days prior to the retreat and we request that you purchase them through us as soon as possible as it will help the center for planning. The food has been sampled by some of our staff and is said to be delicious! A few examples of what could be served for lunch would be a sandwich bar, BBQ, baked chicken, and all the sides and desserts (a salad is available with any meal). It is cafeteria style so there are quite a few options. For dinner we may have herb roasted turkey, ham, fried chicken, pork loin, and many other main dishes, sides, and desserts! Their menu is very extensive and there are too many options to list here. If you have any food allergies (not food preferences), please note that in the notes section before checking out.***Meals are no longer available for purchase, but we might be able to fit a few more if there are cancellations. Please email us at events@gatherroundhomeschool.com to join the waiting list.****The meals are served buffet style and ticket prices include gratuity.*Special EventsMen&#x27;s Breakfast with Jonathan: We are excited to be offering this special event that will have limited space. Join Jonathan at 7:30am on Saturday April, 22nd, for this men&#x27;s breakfast as he&#x27;ll be sharing a bit of what God has laid on his heart. There will be meat, it will be good. This will only fit about 180 people, but if you are wanting to grab that, click <a href="https://gatherroundhomeschool.com/products/mens-breakfast-with-jonathan" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HERE</a> to purchase your ticket for this event instead of a normal breakfast for this day. You will find “lighter bites” in the Junaluska Gifts &amp; Grounds in the Harrell Center and in the hotel gift shops in Terrace and the Lambuth Inn.

<h1>Accommodations</h1>Terrace Hotel (starting at $149 per night):Terrace Hotel is the nicest hotel on campus. It is right beside our meeting space, Stuart Auditorium, with modern rooms that have 2 queen beds. The rooms also include microwaves, coffee makers, and mini fridges. This is our largest room block and the one we have the most pressing commitment to book out, so if you are able to swing it, we would love to have you book here. This is our largest room block with 60 rooms reserved. You can join Rebecca and her family here at the closest hotel to the meeting facility. Mountainview (starting at $109 per night):Very simple, basic accommodations. Private bath with linens and bedding and can sleep up to 6. These are not quite as fancy but are more affordable options for larger families. We have ten rooms reserved at Mountainview. Lake Junaluska Campground (starting at $55 per night): The campground is across the main road from the Lake Junaluska entrance. There are full hook-ups (water, 50 amp, sewer, wifi) and a mix of pull thru sites and back in sites. We did reserve ten of these in the Gather ‘Round block.To book a site at the campground, you will need to call 1-800-222-4930 and speak with a reservation specialist. They are available Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm EST. <h1>FAQs</h1>Why is there a parking fee?Junaluska offers free parking for people who are on site and staying at one of the hotels. However, if you do stay offsite, please note that there is a parking fee for each day.Do I have to stay at Lake Junaluska Retreat and Conference Center in order to attend the retreat? The short answer is no. We do have room blocks for Terrace hotel, Mountainview, and campground and those can be booked <a href="https://www.reseze.net/servlet/SendPage?hotelid=1593&amp;skipfirstpage=true&amp;page=123752" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>. It is helpful for us for those accommodations to be booked and used. However, you can find other accommodations by visiting this third party <a href="https://www.vacasa.com/go/partners/lake-junaluska" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">site </a>that lists some homes around Lake Junaluska OR similar sites like Airbnb. Please note if you do not stay on site, you will need to add parking for each day you are there. Parking is only free for people who are staying on site. Are there other places to eat or buy groceries nearby? Yes! There are several fast food restaurants .25 miles away and others within a 5-10 minute drive as well as grocery stores. There’s Junaluska Gifts and Grounds in the Harrell Center (next door to Stuart Auditorium) that serves coffee, smoothies, ice cream, and other drinks and treats. Can I bring outside food on campus? If you are lodging on campus, you are welcome to bring any food and drink into your rooms/apartments/homes/campers. You can also bring small snacks into our meeting space for your individual family members so long as they don’t make a mess. There are water filling stations in our main meeting space as well. Please be mindful to pick up after yourselves and keep the facilities clean. We understand that things happen outside of our control, which can make it a little scary to plan this far in advance. If you need to cancel for any reason, we want to make sure you have options! First of all, if you booked a hotel room you will need to call the event center directly to cancel your room as that is not through us (this can be done until about 2 weeks before with very little penalty other than a small booking charge).Your actual ticket can either be resold on our event Facebook page or app, or you can request a refund (see details below).15 days before the event: No refunds will be given. Tickets can potentially be resold by the customer to a third party and we will take care of the ticket transfer. You are responsible for cancelling and changing any hotel rooms at the venue.15-45 days before the event: A refund will be issued onto a Gather ‘Round gift card that you can use for either product or a convention in the future!45+ days before the event: A refund can be returned to the original payment method.
