Schoenberg and Brahms

The Las Vegas Sinfonietta (LVS) is a professional chamber orchestra based in vibrant Las Vegas, Nevada. LVS was founded by a passionate group of local musicians, dedicated to performing classical repertoire ranging from Baroque to Contemporary works. LVS is committed to providing captivating settings of classical music to the valley. Since its foundation in 2019, the chamber orchestra has grown to approximately thirty members, who pursue parallel careers either as principals or section leaders of nationally recognized orchestras, as eminent chamber musicians, or as tutors of music. LVS regularly features soloists and exceptional guest conductors. LVS has sustained excellence in presenting varied repertoire curated to diverse audiences throughout the city. LVS maintains an active performance schedule, both locally and on tour—regionally and nationally. The Las Vegas Sinfonietta is led by Artistic Director, Taras Krysa.

<a href="https://lasvegassinfonietta.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Las Vegas Sinfonietta</a> to present an exquisite program featuring music composed for string sextets a part of “Up Close and Personal” music series. The program to include String Sextet from “Capriccio” by Richard Strauss, String Sextet No 2 in G Major by Johannes Brahms and “Transfigured Night” by Arnold Schoenberg. The performers are: Alex Dzyubinsky, <a href="https://taraskrysa.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Taras Krysa</a> and Nataliya Karachentseva-violin, Hanna Suk and Omar Shelly-viola, Svetlana Garitselova, Jorge Maresch and Andrew Smith-cello. The concert will be held on Sunday Afternoon, February 19, 3 pm at the Clark County Library Theater located at the 1401 East Flamingo road, Las Vegas, NV, 89119. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students. When purchasing student ticket use code STU. Children under 12 receive free admission. Tickets can be purchased here or at the Theater box office one hour before the performance. The LVS regularly features outstanding soloists and exceptional guest conductors. The orchestra is led by Artistic Director Taras Krysa. Mr. Krysa has established a reputation for innovative and inspiring music-making and leadership throughout the United States and Europe, most recently as the Music Director and Conductor of the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra – the oldest professional orchestra in the Ukraine. Mr. Krysa continues to serve as the Director of Orchestras at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Next concerts of the Las Vegas Sinfonietta Orchestra will take place on March 19 and April 30, 2023.
