Mozart's  Requiem

The Las Vegas Sinfonietta (LVS) is a professional chamber orchestra based in vibrant Las Vegas, Nevada. LVS was founded by a passionate group of local musicians, dedicated to performing classical repertoire ranging from Baroque to Contemporary works. LVS is committed to providing captivating settings of classical music to the valley. Since its foundation in 2019, the chamber orchestra has grown to approximately thirty members, who pursue parallel careers either as principals or section leaders of nationally recognized orchestras, as eminent chamber musicians, or as tutors of music. LVS regularly features soloists and exceptional guest conductors. LVS has sustained excellence in presenting varied repertoire curated to diverse audiences throughout the city. LVS maintains an active performance schedule, both locally and on tour—regionally and nationally. The Las Vegas Sinfonietta is led by Artistic Director, Taras Krysa.

Las Vegas Sinfonietta and Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society join forces to perform Mozart&#x27;s Requiem. The soloists are: Athena Mertes-Soprano, Valeria Ore-Mezzo Soprano, Marko Varela-Tenor and Andre Chiang-Bariton. Conductor-Taras Krysa. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students. Children under 12 receive free admission. The Las Vegas Sinfonietta (LVS) was founded by a passionate group of professional musicians, dedicated to performing classical repertoire from the Baroque to works by contemporary composers. Its mission is to provide captivating performances of classical music throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Since its founding in 2019, the chamber orchestra has grown to nearly 30 members, who pursue parallel careers as leading performers of nationally recognized orchestras, as eminent chamber musicians or as professional tutors of music. The LVS regularly features outstanding soloists and exceptional guest conductors. The orchestra is led by Artistic Director Taras Krysa. Mr. Krysa has established a reputation for innovative and inspiring music-making and leadership throughout the United States and Europe, most recently as the Music Director and Conductor of the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra – the oldest professional orchestra in the Ukraine. Mr. Krysa continues to serve as the Director of Orchestras at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Next concerts of the Las Vegas Sinfonietta Orchestra will take place on February 19, March 19 and April 30, 2023.
