The photo walk focuses on Mirrorless, D-SLR, and bridge camera systems.

Can't I just use my camera phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use your camera phone. However, the instructor has limited experience outside of iPhones.

My camera isn't focusing can the class help me figure that out?

Accepted Answer

No. If you are having mechanical difficulties with your camera system, you should stop by JPI and have it looked at before the event.

Question 5

Do I need a special lens for this photo walk?

Accepted Answer

You can use any lens you want. You bring it; you carry it. The instructor will be using only one lens - a Macro Lens.

Do I need a flash for the class?

A flash is optional and up to the student.

Question 7

Can I bring my spouse, friend or signifigant other?

Accepted Answer

Sure! They are welcome to tag along if they are not participating, especially if they are taking you home.

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

Parking in Sarasota can be tricky, so give yourself plenty of time. There is a 2nd St Parking Garage and State St Parking Garage. Pay attention to where you park to avoid a ticket or to be towed.
